Clay Sculpture Kids Workshop

An official event of the 2nd Annual Wisconsin Black Art & Culture Expo
Mahogany Gallery is excited to collaborate with Lemon Street Gallery to bring a workshop on clay sculpture to youth in the Racine & Kenosha areas. In honor of Black History Month, youth will learn about prominent Black sculpture artists, receive a demonstration on using a potters wheel, and build their own unique creations! This workshop includes lessons in two forms of clay building.

Chicago-based prolific art collector, Patric McCoy will be a guest speaker at the 2nd Annual Wisconsin Black Art & Culture Expo. McCoy will be interviewed by artist and educator, Mutope Johnson—speaking on the value of art collecting, ways to start and build your collection, the importance of Black art and other relevant topics centered around collecting Black art.
