MG IN INDY: REFLECTING ON BUTTER Art Fair

Indianapolis gave us a weekend to remember.

Mahogany Gallery returned to Indianapolis for BUTTER Fine Art Fair 6, September 3–6, 2026, presenting works by Jamaal Barber, Tasha Beckwith, Imo Nse Imeh, Ramel Jasir, Naderson Saint-Pierre, Nia Terry, and Scott Terry.

Throughout the weekend, our space became more than an exhibition, it became a meeting point for artists, collectors, creatives, and cultural leaders. New relationships were formed, meaningful conversations happened, and collectors had an opportunity to experience the range of artistic voices within Mahogany.

BUTTER continues to demonstrate the importance of creating spaces where Black artists and their stories are centered. For Mahogany, being part of that ecosystem means building visibility for our artists while creating pathways between artistic practice, collecting, and opportunity.

BUTTER was also one part of our larger MG in Indy activation, which included SEEN, our group exhibition at The Stutz exploring portraiture, identity, and the power of being seen.

And the journey continues.

From Indianapolis, SEEN now travels south to Atlanta, carrying Mahogany’s curatorial vision into a new city and introducing these artistic conversations to new collectors.
